Justice Ahmadi re-elected AMU Chancellor

New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) Former Chief Justice of India A M Ahmadi has been re-elected as the Chancellor of the Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) for three years.

A University statement said Nawab Rahmatullah Khan Sherwani was elected as the Pro-Chancellor and Dr Mahfooz Ahmad, former Economic Advisor to the Government of India, as the Treasurer.

The elections were held during the Annual Meeting of the University Court, which was presided over by AMU Vice Chancellor Naseem Ahmad.

The meeting also elected 42 representatives from several categories for the membership of the University Court.
