JSW Steel Q3FY07 net up 160%

New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) JSW Steel Ltd has posted 160.16 per cent rise in its net profit at Rs 362.15 crore in Q3FY07 as compared to Rs 139.2 crore over the same period last fiscal.

The company has recorded 51.31 per cent growth in its total income (net of excise) to Rs 2307.85 crore during the third quarter from Rs 1525.15 crore during the corresponding period last year, a company statement said today.

Recently, the company said it planned to expand its manufacturing capacity to 31 million tonnes over the next decade or so with an overall investment of Rs 85,000 crore.
