Hospital worker killed by thief for resisting robbery

Surat, Jan 22 (UNI) A staff member of New Civil Hospital(NCH) , who was residing in the staff quarters in the hospital campus, died today while resisting a robbery attempt in his house.

According to Umra police, Manilal Katharia(44), residing on the ground floor of Plot number A-2 of the staff quarters, was severely injured during a confrontation with a thief. Katharia was immediately admitted to NCH but died later.

Investigations are on in the matter.
