HC asks for report on juvenile delinquents rehabilitation

Mumbai, Jan 22 (UNI) The Bombay High Court today directed the State Government to file an affidavit, submitting the steps taken towards rehabilitation of juveniles in the State-run institutions.

A division bench, comprising justices Ranjana Desai and Vijaya Kapse Tahilramani, also directed the State Government to finalise within three months a plan for setting up vocational training centres for the juveniles outside the observation homes.

The court has further directed the State Government to create posts of child psychologists, occupational therapists and counsellors at the Mentally Deficient Children's Home of Children Aid Society.
