Jalandhar, Jan 22 (UNI) Godrej Boyce Lifespace Retail division today opened its first lifespace retail store here taking the total number of stores in its countrywide chain up to 44.

The Company's Vice President and Business Head Shyam Motwani inaugurated the store which would provide home and office furniture, home appliances and other items for interior decoration.

Mr Motwani told reporters that the retail division of the comapny had chalked out ambitious extension plan involving opening of about 150 new stores and achieving a turnover mark of Rs 450 crore by 2010.

He said that annual turn over of retail division which was Rs 60 crore till March last year is targeted to touch Rs 100 crore mark by March this year.

The overall annual turnover of the Godrej Boyce group is around Rs 5,000 crore, he added.
