Couple commits suicide; woman's body recovered after six days

Surat, Jan 22 (UNI) The dead body of a woman who jumped into Tapi river with her lover on January 16, to commit suicide was found near a boat jetty in Magdella here today.

According to sources, Priyal Gulab Patel, a student of Amroli college had jumped into Tapi river from Magdella overbridge on January 16 evening with her lover Navanit Patel, a diamond worker staying in Katargam.

Navanit's body was found on that day itself by fire brigade personnel, but Piyal's body could not be traced which was found today, six days after her death.
