Guna, MP, Jan 22 (UNI) The District Consumers' Forum has imposed penalties on a transport company for non-delivery of goods.

The New Delhi-based company New Pawan Gati's Neetu Road Lines was recently directed to pay Rs 25,000 and litigation cost to local resident Pradeep Jain who booked goods on April 7, 2006 and was assured by word of mouth that the material worth Rs 55,000 would be delivered here in three days. Despite a notice, the goods were not delivered.

The Forum rejected the company's plea that the goods were booked outside the Forum's jurisdiction.
