Citizen Watch to launch precision machinery in India

Chennai, Jan 22 (UNI) Citizen Watch Company Limited has planned to enter the machine tool business in India.

Company President and CEO Makoto Umehara said in a press release here today intensified demand in India for high precision machinery from various sectors like automobiles, cellular phones and medical equipment has prompted the decision.

The Citizen Machinery Company -- the machine tool division of Citizen Watch Co Ltd -- offered precise factory automated products including machine tools, using highly sophisticated and advanced next generation technology, he claimed.

"We have a concept of "one product, one appearance," ensuring custom-made products specific to each customer requirement," he said adding "we believe this new venture will hold tremendous potential for growth in the coming years." UNI
