Bridge across Vasistha river with Rs.42 crores: CM
Narsapur, (Andhra Pradesh), Jan 22 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Dr Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the state government would ensure that a bridge between Narsapuram in West Godavari and Sakhinetipalli in East Godavari district constructed across river Vasistha at an estimated cost of Rs.42 crores.
Speaking at a programme arranged at the helipad after his arrival from Hyderabad he said work on the bridge would start soon.
He said the government had introduced the 'Indiramma scheme' to fulfill the desires of late Prime Minister Mrs Indira Gandhi.
As part of this programme, the government would construct houses to the poor within two years in the state, he said.
Dr Dasari Narayana Rao, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, Narasapur MP Mr Ch V Hararamajogaiah and West Godavari collector Mr Lav Agarwal were among those who received the Chief Minister at the helepad.
