BJP will win UP elections: Rajnath Singh

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 22: BJP president Rajnath Singh today expressed confidence that the party would get absolute majority in the ensuing Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh.

Ruling out seat adjustments with anyone else he told reporters here the BJP would face the election with its National Democratic Front (NDA) alliance partners only.

However, the BJP would support the Congress in Parliament to pass the Bill promulgating President's Rule for conducting free and fair elections in UP, he added.

The BJP president said the party would also win in the Assembly elections in Uttaranchal and Punjab.

On the strategy for winning the elections, Mr Singh said ''our strategy is to win the election and the strategy should not be disclosed.'' He clarified that there was no factionalism prevailing in the Kerala unit and the party was growing steadily.
