Ban on importing eggs from India lifted

Dubai, Jan 22 (UNI) The ban on importing eggs from India, imposed in February last year amid fears over bird flu, has been lifted.

An official said with the data available, the General Secretariat of UAE Municipalities decided to lift the ban last week, press reports said.

Indian importers welcomed the decision saying eggs from India are not just popular with Indian expatriates, but with a lot of others as well despite being expensive.
