Antony, Karan Singh, Ambika, Shinde to assist Sonia

New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) A panel of senior Congress leaders, including Mr A K Antony and Dr Karan Singh, will assist party President Sonia Gandhi at the Satyagraha centenary celebrations on January 29-30 here.

The others who will assist Ms Gandhi, particularly in holding ''bilateral talks'' with eminent Gandhians, including Nobel laureates, from other countries are Ms Ambika Soni, Mr Sushil Kumar Shinde, Ms Margaret Alva and Saifuddin Soz.

The spokespersons for the conference are Mr Devendra Prasad, Ms Jayanti Natarajan, Ms Selja and Mr Shakil Ahmed.

AICC spokesperson Jayanti Natarajan told reporters that there has been a tremendous response to the celebrations.

Special sessions would be held at the conference on various themes, including on non-violent approach to conflict resolution; Gandhian philosophy; dialogue among people; and towards a nuclear weapons-free world.
