Aiyar rules out shifting National Games

New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) Minister for Youth and Sports Affairs Mani Shankar Aiyar today ruled out shifting the National Games, slated to take place at Guwahati from February 9 to 18, to any other place.

Talking to newspersons after the conclusion of a meeting on DONER here today, Mr Aiyar said all concerned agencies are taking necessary measures towards providing foolproof security cover to this prestigious national event, he added.

He said though DONER was not involved with this event but its main interest was that the North Eastern Region should get its due share of glory through this event.
