Air Mshal P S Ahluwalia to take over as WAC AoC-in-C
New Delhi, Jan 22 (UNI) Air Marshal Padamajit Singh Ahluwalia has been designated as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Air Command with effect from February 1.
Air Marshal Ahluwalia will take over charge of the Western command, the oldest and the largest command of the Indian Air Force, from Air Marshal A K Singh, who is retiring an official statement said.
Air Marshal Ahluwalia, PVSM, AVSM and Bar VM VSM, has 4,000 hrs of flying experience on all types of fighter aircraft.
He has served in the Directorates of Electronic Warfare, Air Defence, Aircraft Induction and Concept Studies at the Air Headquarters. His other appointments include stints as Air attacks in Japan and South Korea.
At present Air Marshal Ahluwalia, a graduate from the NDA, Defence Services Staff College and National Defence College, is the Air Officer-in-Chief, Southern Air Command.
