Accident in Jammu claims seven lives, injures 30 others

Jammu, Jan 22 (UNI) At least seven people were killed and 30 others injured, when a truck carrying a marriage party fell into a nallah in Udhampur district in Jammu and Kashmir this evening, oficial sources here said.

The police said the truck was on its way to Katra from Ramban.

The incident took place at 1815 hrs.

While seven people died on the spot, 30 others were injured.

Some of the injured were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) here in a critical condition.

The police has started rescue operations.
