3 die in family suicide pact

Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, Jan 22 (UNI) Three of a family allegedly committed suicide after consuming poison at their house in Sanguli near here while the fourth member is battling for life at a hospital.

Police said Vinodha's (20) marriage was fixed for next month.

Last week, the girl eloped with her lover. Her parents Kumar (45) and Mallika (38) convinced her and brought the girl back home.

last evening there was a spat between Vinodha and her parents after she refused to accept the boy fixed by them.

Following this, the entire family including Vinodha's sister Vanitha (12) consumed pesticide.

While, Kumar, Mallika and Vanitha died, Vinodha was battling for life at the government hospital here.
