Three dead, four injured in wall collapse in Vasant Vihar

New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) Three persons died and four others were seriously injured today after a wall of the Jharkhand Bhawan in South Delhi collapsed during construction work in the basement.

At 1225 hours, as construction work was going on in the basement of Jharkhand Bhawan, located adjacent to Mizoram Bhawan, at Vasant Vihar, a temporary wall erected for construction purposes collapsed, burying seven labourers under it, fire brigade sources said.

While three labourers died, four others were seriously injured after being buried under the debris, the sources said.

Fire brigade personnel battled for almost four hours to rescue those buried under the debris.

The four injured labourers were admitted to the Safdarjung hospital, the sources said.
