Strong earthquake hits off Indonesia's Sulawesi

JAKARTA, Jan 21 (Reuters) A strong earthquake of magnitude 7.2 struck off Indonesia's Sulawesi island late today, the US geological survey said.

Indonesia's meteorology and geophysic agency put the quake strength at 6.5 on the Richter scale and said it could pose a tsunami risk, according to a message from the agency received by Reuters.
