Some respite from cold weather in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jan 21 (UNI) There has been some respite from cold weather conditions in Kashmir with the minimum temperature being recorded at minus 2.2 degree Celsius.
The Valley had recorded the coldest night of the season so far last Sunday when the minimum temperature plummeted to minus 6.1 degree Celsius due to which a major portion of Dal Lake was frozen.
Weather office here said the minimum temperature in Srinagar and adjoining areas was recorded at minus 2.2 degree Celsius while the maximum stood at 11.2 degree Celsius.
In Jammu, the minimum temperature was recorded at 5.3 degree Celsius while the maximum was at 19.7degree Celsius.
The Met office had predicted dry weather ahead.
