Sai Baba for free education, water, medical health

Chennai, Jan 21 (UNI) Spiritual leader Sathya Sai Baba today reiterated that education, clean drinking water and medical health care should be made free for all, irrespective of caste, creed, colour, religion or country of origin.

Delivering a speech at a function here, Sai Baba said more wealthy people should come forward to extend help to the poor.

''I am always concerned about providing three primary requisites for our people-- free education, medical aid and basic amenities like drinking water.'' Education was for the head, medical care for the heart and pure water for the body, he said adding that these three requisites covered the main requirements of life.

''To provide these three gives the greatest gratification'', he said.

Shri Sathya Sai also appealed to the people to render their selfless service to the poor, the sick and the needy without thinking of reward or fame.

''Respect all other religions-- for no religion advocates the negative and lower qualities of man,'' he said urging all to cultivate the values of truth, divine love, right conduct, peace and nonviolence and promote these among all.
