RSS to provide election strategy to BJP for UP
New Delhi, Jan 21: With the assembly elections approaching in Uttar Pradesh, BJP has sought assistance from Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh to provide it with an electoral strategy to come back to power in the state.
Taking the matter seriously RSS has already begun work on it, dividing UP into six parts--Avadh, Kanpur, Banaras, Gorakhpur, Brij and Western UP and appointed senior 'pracharaks' Mr Manohar Lal, Krishna Murari Motha, Harinder Kumar, Hriday Nath, Om Mathur and Om Prakash as Chief ''Pracharaks'' (Incharge) of the respective regions, sources said.
In addition, RSS has spared 60 full time ''pracharaks'' to assist the chief pracharaks in this work.
These chief ''pracharaks'' will be sending their reports to the RSS headquarters and the BJP General Secretary (Organisational work), enumerating ''What is to be done in each constituency and how the BJP leaders should campaign in the region''.
It has been agreed that the final election strategy will be drawn by the RSS in which neither BJP President Rajnath Singh nor any other BJP leader will be involved.
However, before the final strategy is worked out, the issues could be discussed at a five-member Coordination Committee of the RSS and BJP, comprising three senior RSS leaders, Mr Mohan Bhagwat, Madan Das Devi, Ram Madhav, BJP President Rajnath Singh and BJP General secretary (Organisational matters) Sanjay Joshi.
Meanwhile, the coordination committee has identified 126 predominated Muslim areas on which it wants to give special emphasis as decided at the recent BJP conclave in Lucknow, sources said.
