Reservation to muslim as a whole is unconstitutional:AIBMC

Patna, Jan 21 (UNI) The All India Backward Muslim Congress (AIBMC) today condemned the reservation policy for the Muslims as a whole alleging that policy was a conspiracy of some affluent Muslims.

AIBMC president Shakil-ur-Rahman said the reservation to muslim as a whole was 'unconstitutional' as there was no provision for reservation to the entire community in the constitution.

He said it was a conspiracy of a few affluent muslims enjoying power at the Centre giving reference of the Sachhar committee for conducting the survey of the entire community.

'' The elite muslims do not need reservation and the oppressed section will be deprived if the reservation is given to the entire community, ''Mr Rahman stressed.

Mr Rahman said even after 59 years of Independence the dalit Mulims were deprived of the fundamental rights and the religious bodies like Imarte Shariya.

''They are ignored and forced to lead a miserable life,'' he added.

He also triggered the gun at Monazir Hassan a close colleague of Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and miniroty commission chairman Aslam Azad protesting the reservation.

He also demanded for a representative of dalit muslims in the Assembly and Lok Sabha.
