Prohibitory orders clamped in Dhar
Indore, Jan 21 (UNI) Prohibitory orders have been clamped at Bagh area in Dhar district of Madhya Pradesh following a clash between members of two communities yesterday.
Dhar Superintendent of Police Praveen Mathur said one person was beaten up five youths of another community.
Later, agitated tribals went on a rampage and arson. Prohibitory orders were promulgated to bring the situation under control and additional police force were deployed.
Two cases had been registered and four persons arrested so far.
Police claimed that situation was under control.
In another incident, members of a community took exception after weapons were displayed by members of another community during a religious procession at Mukeripura area in this district. Members of both the communities clashed and resorted to stoning and ransacking.
Police lobbed tear gas and canecharging to control the situation.
Thirteen persons were arrested in this connection.
