National Kannada Meet in Delhi April 7 and 8

Bangalore, Jan 21 (UNI) The 24th National Conference of Kannada speaking people would be held in Delhi on April 7 and 8, Conference Convenor M B Samaga said here today.

In a release here, he said that the Conference, organised by 'Dehali Kannadiga', a Kannada monthly published from Delhi, includes seminar on Kannada language, literature and culture, poets meet, women festival, seminar on linguistic and interstate harmony, music, dance, drama and other cultural programs and book exhibition.

Mr Samaga said that more than 2000 delegates from all over the country including writers, artists, professors, academicians and representatives of Kannada association are expected to participate in the Conference.

He said that the main purpose of the Conference was to seek more recognition to Kannada culture at the national and international level and provide justice to Kannadigas in every field.
