MP BJP to form human chain to protest soaring prices

Bhopal, Jan 21 (UNI) Launching a scathing attack on the UPA Government at the Centre for soaring prices of essential commodities, the Madhya Pradesh BJP today announced that its Mahila Morcha will form a human chains in various districts across the state on February 10.

''The wrong policies of the Centre has led to rise in prices creating difficulties for common man to purchase even essential commodities,'' state BJP President Narendra Singh Tomar told reporters here after the conclusion of two-day meeting of office bearers here today.

He said the meeting decided to organise a meeting of the state executive in the state capital on February 7 and 8. State party incharge Anant Kumar and other senior leaders will be present.

Asserting that at present the party was focussing on upcoming cooperative elections in the state, he said all leaders will get together in order to ensure victory.

The state BJP President said the election procedure in 14 districts will end by January 31.

During this period, party executive committees in these districts would be announced, while state party cells and frontal organisations would be constituted and its expansion up to district levels would be carried out.

He said the meeting decided to organise 'Vikas Shivir' in all the 230 assembly constituencies. A detailed plan along with dates would be chalked out in the state party executive meeting.

Besides, a two-day training camp for party workers for organising 'Vikas Shivirs' will be organised on March 10 and 11.

Responding to a question, Mr Tomar said the policy of 'one man one post' would be adhered to.
