New Delhi, Jan 21 (UNI) The Janata Dal (United) has termed the revival of Samata Party by a section of its workers as ''a non-event'' and said it would have no impact on the party.

Talking to newspersons party General Secretary Shambhu Srivastava said, ''Those who left has no relevance in the party.'' He said former Gujarat JD(U) chief Praveen Singh Jadeja, who also joined the Samata party today with the disgruntled group, was in fact removed from his post just five days ago.

When asked whether the party will demand removal of George Fernandes as NDA convenor, Mr Srivastava said since Mr Fernandes has not participated in the meeting, the question of any such demand does not arise.

Significantly, the lone party MLA from Bihar Chhedi Paswan, who was present at the meeting, clarified he had no intention, as of now, to join the Samata Party.
