JCCI demands resumption of e-registration of industrial units

Jammu, Jan 21 (UNI) Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (JCCI) has urged upon the Jammu and Kashmir state industries department to resume on the process of on-line registration of industrial units in the state.

JCCI President Ram Sahai along with other members took up the issue during a meeting with the principal secretary to the industries and commerce Lokesh Jha at Chambers House here last evening, an official statement said.

He pointed out this system was already in place at the DICs but it was discontinued.

Mr Sahai said the people intending to set up their units were facing lot of hardships and demanded e-registration process be resumed at the earliest.

The Chamber also drew the attention of the government towards zero availability of local material and sought assistance and stressed for special package for all other districts.
