HDFC Bank launches 'Gold Business Card' for SMEs

New Delhi, Jan 21: HDFC Bank in association with MasterCard International has launched 'HDFC Bank Gold Business Card' with a credit limit of upto Rs 10 lakh and credit free period of upto 45 days, for self employed and small businesses.

The new card will give serious value-add to their businesses through business relevant features and partner tie-ups.

Mr Parag Rao, Head (Product&Portfolio) Credit Cards, HDFC Bank says, ''HDFC Bank recognises that the SME sector has unique business needs and hence needs specialised product offerings.

HDFC Bank Gold Business Card is one such product that has been launched to enhance the overall value of the bank offering to this customer segment.'' HDFC Bank Gold Business Card offers reduced interest rate basis card spends during a billing cycle and comes with a petrol surcharge waiver at any fuel station across the country.

The new card also offers a Rs 2 lakh business insurance cover against theft and fire at office premises along with a comprehensive travel insurance cover including Rs 10 lakh air accident insurance.

Mr Nitin Chugh, Head (Sales), Credit Cards, HDFC Bank adds, ''HDFC Bank wants to provide targeted products to address the evolving business needs of the SME sector to make them competitive in the marketplace.

''Through the Business Card, we want to address this segment effectively and enhance the bank's presence in this space.'' Business savings through discounts on leading brands like Electrolux, Whirlpool, Godrej, HP Laptops, etc can also be availed through the card.

The HDFC Bank Business Gold Card in the first phase will be available to customers in Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Coimbatore, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
