Govt to launch 'Micro irrigation' in dry lands: CM

Hyderabad, Jan 21 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today said the government would launch 'Micro Irrigation' programme in all dry lands to increase the agricultural output in the state.

In an official release here, Dr Reddy said the 'Micro Irrigation' programme would be taken up in dry lands where the lift irrigation facilities were established.

The new scheme would be extended to all parts of the state after successfully implementing it in Kadapa district, Dr Reddy said adding the poor farmers would benefit from the micro irrigation programme.
