Globalisation gives chance for revival:Meghnad

Patna, Jan 21: Lord Meghnad Desai, professor of London School of Economics, said Bihar was on the verge of resurgence as globalisation is providing a golden opportunity in the development of the state.

Lord Desai who was here to attend 'Global Bihar Meet', lamented that Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, known as BIMARU states, failed to visualise the roots of the problems they were facing.

He said globalisation had provided a unique opportunity for development.

Delivering a lecture on the sidelines of a three-day global meet here yesterday, Lord Desai lambasted the previous government for slow economic growth and minimal effort to create job opportunities for the unskilled labour.
