CRPF jawan among 2 arrested for raping minor girl

Jammu, Jan 21 (UNI) Two youths, including a CRPF jawan, were arrested today for allegedly raping a minor girl at Kishtwar in Doda district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources said.

Doda police said an FIR has been registered against Sanjay Kumar of 148 Battalion CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force) located at Kishtwar and a local youth Manoj kumar alias Dany under RPC 376 for raping the girl who got pregnant.

The matter came to the light when Sanjay, son of Nagesh Ram hailing from Raipur in Ballia district of Uttar Pradesh, took the girl to the hospital for abortion, SSP, Doda, Manohar Singh told UNI.

''Preliminary questioning has revealed that Sanjay had been raping the girl on the pretext of marriage,'' the SSP added.
