Cold waves prevail in Punjab and northwest Rajasthan
Pune, Jan 21 (UNI) Cold Wave conditions prevailed in some parts of Punjab, northwest Rajasthan.
Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Jharkhand, Haryana, north Madhya Maharashtra, Telangana, Rayalaseema and of south interior Karnataka and were below normal in some parts of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, Orissa, Bihar, Vidarbha, Kerala and in remaining parts of Punjab.
They were appreciably above normal in some parts of Gujarat, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal Karnataka and were above normal in some parts of southwest Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada and of Tamil Nadu and in remaining parts of northwest Rajasthan.
They were normal over the rest of the country.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya.
Mainly dry weather will prevail over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand and Bihar.
