City gets superspeciality maternity hospital
Bangalore, Jan 21 (UNI) A superspeciality maternity hospital-the Cradle, exclusively for pregnant women and child birth was opened here today, thanks to Kids Clinic (Bangalore) Private Limited Chief Executive Officer Dr Kishore Kumar.
The Hospital brings several pioneering and revolutionary concepts in birthing-in a world class modern facility with the latest medical equipment. The Hospital was established in conjunction with the Apollo Health and Lifestyle Limited.
Talking to newsmen here, Dr Kumar, who himself a Bangalorean, said that "after having established 'Kidz Klinic' in Australia and practiced as one of the top neonatoligists in Perth, I wanted to return home and establish a world-class and a unique hospital that would cater to health needs of children in my country and today it was fulfilled." The Hospital, claimed to be first of its kind in South East Asia, offers many 'firsts' in different fields including 'Boutique Maternity and Neonatal Centre in Bangalore, a dedicated Ambulance for mother and baby-along with Entonox on board to relieve 'mother's labour pains' even before she reaches the hospital, concept of prenatal centre, routine neonatal screening for metabolic disorders and hearing screening as part of the maternal and neonatal package, GIRAFFE-a revolutionary incubators, imported from Germany, for the care of all newborns, electric beds with 6 Linux motors in each room purely for the comfort of mothers.
