Powerful blast near railway station in Asom

Guwahati, Jan 21: A powerful blast was reported from near the Bongaigaon railway station in lower Asom today.

Bongaigaon Superintendent of Police Deepak Kumar informed that the blast occurred in the northern side of the railway station, near the parking area of the station, at about 1130 hours.

He said three persons, all daily-wage labourers, were injured.

They were rushed to a hospital and are stated to be out of danger.

The SP added that the explosive was kept in a motor cycle.
