Asom traders still missing in Mizoram

Aizawl, Jan 21 (UNI) Police yet to trace the two timber traders who had been abducted five days ago.

Police said the timber traders, Nazmul Islam Laskar (25) and Asad Ali Talukdar (52), both residents of Jamira in Hailakandi of south Asom, were whisked away by suspected Mizoram based miscreants from Kachurthal last Tuesday along Mizoram-Asom border.

They were returning from Bairabi in Mizoram after business transaction, the miscreants robbed Rs three lakh from them, sources said, adding that business rivalry was the reason behind kidnapping.

However, the victims' families have not yet recieved any ransom call, sources added.
