47 bodies retrieved from Krishna river

Kurnool, Jan 21 (UNI) Naval divers and swimmers retrieved 47 bodies of the boat accident from the Krishna river by this evening.

According to officials here, the bodies of 47 of the 64 people, who had gone missing after their boat capsized in the river on January 18, were retrieved and handed over to their relatives.

The search operations were stopped after sunset.

Meanwhile, State Commercial Tax Minister K Ramakrishna and Minor Irrigation Minister Mareppa visited the accident spot and consoled the bereaved families.
