ULFA man killed

Guwahati, Jan 20 (UNI) The police today shot dead a suspected ULFA activist at Gorchuk on the outskirts of Guwahati city.

According to official sources he was hiding in a house in the area. This is the first killing of an ULFA man in Guwahati, which has been continuously attacked by the banned outfit during the past few days.

Meanwhile, the situation in Asom has been peaceful so far with no untoward incident being reported since last night.
