3 killed in North 24 Parganas in last 24 hours

Barrackpore, Jan 20: At least three youths were killed in last 24-hours at Ruia Purba Para and Rahara area under Khardah police station in North 24 Parganas, police said.

A young insurance agent Dipak Seal was brutally killed by unidentified miscreants at Dangadingla near Rahara when he was returning home late last night.

Police also recovered body of an unknown youth from Ruia Purbapara paddy field early today. He was found almost defaced with cracked skull and bisected male organ.

Earlier, another unidentified body was found in the Purba para area, eastern side of the Express way, with bullet injuries. Police suspected that the body was left there after killing the person.

All the bodies were sent for postmortem, police added.

Meanwhile, police started investigation in connection with the murder of the LIC agent, who reportedly had a love affair with a tribal girl and made an abortive attempt to marry her, police added.

Police said that they have detained the woman and would start interrogation.
