Sumitra Mahajan cremated

Hisar, Jan 20 (UNI) Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) leader and Rajya Sabha member Sumitra Mahajan, who died in a New Delhi hospital last night, was cremated here this afternoon.

The last rites of Mahajan were performed by her elder son Pradyuman Maharaj in the presence of prominent leaders, family members, friends and hundreds of people who reached here to pay their tributes to the departed leader.

Earlier, a special wreath was placed on Mahajan's body on behalf of the Haryana government.

INLD state president Ashok Arora, Ex MLA Abhey Chautala, former minister Sampat Singh and local MP Jai Prakash were among prominent people present on the occasion.
