Rs 3 crore unearthed in raids on 5 officials

Jaipur, Jan 20 (UNI) Assets worth over Rs 3 crore were unearthed today in raids conducted by the Anti-corruption Bureau on the premises of five officials at sixteen places here.

The raids were conducted at the premises of senior Town planner of Jaipur Municipal Corporation Kailashchand Mishra, senior regional manager of RIICO, Jaipur, Kailash Chand Singhal, Junior enginner of command area development(CAD) posted at Kota - Devendra Kumar, junior engineer of the PHED posted at Chittorgarh(rural) - Omveer Singh and Principal medical Officer posted at government hospital, Sawai Madhopur - Dr Sohanlal Meena.

In the raids, the ACB sleuths recovered Rs 1.63 lakh in cash, documents of ownership of a house in Alwer and two houses in Jaipur valued at Rs 48 lakh from Kailashchand Mishra. He also owned a car, motorcycle and a scooty.

The ACB found Rs 1.75 lakh from the four accounts in the name of Kailsah Chand Singhal and the value of eight plots at different Industrial areas in the name of his relatives estimated to be around Rs 46 lakh. He owned a car and his investment in PPF and LIC was worth over Rs 7 lakh.

The house of Devendra Kumar at Thalwandi in Kota was constrcuted after purchasing a plot for Rs 3.25 lakh and was valued over Rs 12 lakh. He also owned two plots worth Rs 9 lakh apart from a car and motorcycle.

The bank deposit of Sohanlal Meena contained Rs 15.92 lakh and Rs 40,000 in cash were found from his residence. The house of his father and father-in-law was valued at Rs 70 lakh. He owned two houses in Jaipur valued in total at Rs 72 lakh.

PHED junior engineer owned Omveer Singh two houses was worth Rs 12 lakh. He also owned two plots valued at Rs 10 lakh. Documents 22 bighas of land registered in the name of his wife and son in his village were also recovered.
