PRTU demands Govt scrap GO: police arrest teachers

Hyderabad, Jan 20 (UNI) Police today arrested the teachers, who tried to lay seige the state Directorate of Primary Education, demanding that the government scrap the GO placing all teachers would come under integrated service rules.

The teachers of Panchayat Raj Teachers Union (PRTU) rushed to the Directorate and tried to lay siege to the office. Police who entered the scene had arrested the teachers by not allowing them to lay siege to the Directorate.

The PRTU leaders demanded that State Primary Education Minister N Rajyalaxmi should take a decision on the GO which was against the interest of the teachers services. The PRTU would intensify the agitation if the government failed to solve thier demands in future.
