Chennai, Jan 20 (UNI) Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil today reviewed the tsunami rehabilitation programmes in Tamil Nadu.

The review meeting assumes significance following a controversy that tsunami victims were suffering from abject poverty, forcing them to eke out a living by selling their kidneys.

Earlier, Mr Patil called on Tamil Nadu Governor S S Barnala.

Raj Bhavan sources described the meeting as a courtesy call.
