One body recovered from Krishna river in boat tragedy

Kurnool, Andhra Pradesh, Jan 20 (UNI) Divers and swimmers today recovered one body from the Krishna river, where 64 people were reported missing in a boat capsize tragedy on January 18.

The body, identified as Srinivas Reddy of Nehru Nagar here, was handed over to his family members.

The local adminstration has intensified operations to trace the bodies. Private swimmers along with the Army and Navy divers had been pressed into service to recover the bodies.

The boat had also been recovered by the rescue teams.
