Man arrested for sellinng Cellar ticket in black
Tirumala, Jan 20(UNI) Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) Vigilance department today arrested one person for selling Cellar ticket at Tirumala for double the rate to two devotees from Gujarat.
The vigilance sources said the accused Venkatesh had allegedly sold two cellar tickets for Rs 400, instead of the actual cost of Rs 200 to the devotees S Sukula and K Sukula. When the Vigilance officer suspected and questioned them while entering the queue complex, the duo admitted purchasing the tickets from Venkatesh in black.
The vigilance department caught Venkatesh, who was standing outside the temple and handed him over to the police.
A case has been registered and investigation was underway, sources added.
