Malaysian Sikhs form entrepreneur network
Singapore, Jan 20: Malaysian Sikh community has established a Network of International Sikh Entrepreneurs (NISE) with the aim of building a more dynamic, global and enterprising Sikh business community.
NISE Chairman Mohan Singh Sidhu said the new body would set up chapters all over Malaysia, and hoped to have six centres with a membership of 300 Sikh entrepreneurs by the end of this year.
''We plan to create a platform to exchange business information and generate opportunities among members as well for members to promote their products and services, the Kuala Lumpur-based Star newspaper quoted Mr Singh as saying yesterday.
NISE, launched last night in Kuala Lumpur, would work closely with the Government and private organisations, he added.
NISE would hold a meeting with budding entrepreneurs soon, and plans to organize 'The Global Sikh Entrepreneurs Conference' later this year.
NISE has also unveiled its website, NISE Online.
