Leopard captured in Bamba

Jammu, Jan 20 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir wildlife and forest department has captured a male leopard at Raya Suchani forest in Jammu, official sources today said.

Sources said the leopard, which has come down the lower Shivaliks from Saruinsar-Purmandal forests, was trapped a few kilometers from Rajinderpora village in Raya-Suchani.

They captured the leopard by using tranquiliser. Later the animal, which is around eight-years-old and full grown adult, was shifted to Manda wildlife park in the city.
