Kerala finalises Rs 6950 crore plan for next fiscal

Thiruvananthapuram, Jan 20 (UNI) Kerala's annual plan for the next financial year was finalised at Rs 6950 crore by the state Planning Board.

After a meeting with Board Vice-Chairman Prabath Patnaik, Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan said the final discussion with the Planning Commission would be held next month in New Delhi.

The plan size for the current fiscal was Rs 6210 crore.

Referring to the controversy over the state government signing an agreement to accept loan from the Asian Development Bank, Mr Achuthanandan said his governmnet would take borrowings from funding agencies only if it was not detrimental to the interest of the state.
