ICAR Tripura centre ranks top for Agromet Advisory Service

Agartala, Jan 20 (UNI) The ICAR, located at Lembucherra area in Tripura, bagged the top position in dissemination of weather forecast and Agromet Advisory Service in the entire eastern region, official sources said here today.

According to an official release, the ICAR Lembucherra centre bagged sixth position among various weather forecast centres in the country for its service.

The centre secured these positions in respect of data reception, bulletin publication and media coverage among the 110 stations all over the country as per the list released by the National Centre for Medium Range Weather Forcasting (NCMRWF) in Noida, UP, at its annual review meeting at Pantinagar, Uttaranchal.

Joint Director of the state centre at Lembucherra Dr N P Singh, however, appealed to all concerned for help and co-operation in future for doing better for the community particularly the farmers.
