Godrej Consumer Q3 net profit rises to Rs 36.63 cr

Mumbai, Jan 20: Godrej Consumer Products has posted a net profit of Rs 36.63 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 36.12 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Announcing the results, the company said its total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 172.04 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to Rs 199.91 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

As per the consolidated results, the Group has posted a net profit of Rs 39.56 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006 as compared to Rs 35.77 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005.

Total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 187.15 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2005 to Rs 239.73 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2006.

Further, the Company has informed that, the Board of Directors has declared a third interim dividend at Re 1/- per share (100 per cent on the shares of the face value of Re 1 each) for the financial year 2006-07.
