Five kg heroin found in cargo at Amritsar airport

Amritsar, Jan 20 (UNI) The Customs recovered five kg heroin from the cargo which was to be loaded on the Ariana Afghan Airline flight to Kabul at the Raja Sansi international airport this evening, police sources here stated.

The cargo had been booked by LCL Cargo, a local private air cargo company. Search of the cargo was still being carried out by customs officials at the airport.

No arrests had been made so far. The contraband is worth Rs five crore in the internationl market.
